Lunch & Learn
Wednesday, February 8th Jack Gaither, a Certified Vision Rehabilitation Teacher for the Vermont Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired, will be our guest for Lunch & Learn. He will discuss the differences between vision impairment and blindness, talk about local aid available to those who need our services and will display some devices used by consumers to maintain their independence. Jack will bring "Occluders" which allow people to simulate the effects of a variety of impairments. The presentation will be casual and any questions pertaining to vision problems will be welcomed. Lunch reservations must be made by Tuesday at 10am, but no reservations are required for the presentation.

Game Day Luncheon
Friday Feb. 3 ~ 12-2:30

Our popular Game Day Luncheon is back thanks to Indian River Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Granville NY. On Friday February 3rd there will be a FREE Deli Style Luncheon for all players. Sandwiches, salad, dessert and beverage will be served at 12noon and the games will follow immediately after. We’ll set up tables for Scrabble, Checkers, Parcheesi and Dominoes and two “players choice” tables that will depend on the interest of the group. For those who prefer “action” games our popular Nintendo Wii Bowling alley will be set up as well. There will be door prizes and lots of laughs for all who come to play!
Reservations are required by Wednesday Feb 1

The Vermont Legal Aid, Inc. will make their attorneys available to seniors (60 years and over) for a brief consultation on subjects such as; estate planning, tenant issues, advanced directives, Medicaid and Medicare questions, guardianship, social security, small claims court, or consumer issues. This service will be available on Wednesdays from January 18, 2012 to march 21, 2012 between the hours of 9:00am to 2:00 pm.

Candy Making Demo
February 10th....Just in time for Valentines Day!

Charlotte a representative from the Party Store will be at the Center Friday February 10th at 1:00 for a Chocolate Candy Making Workshop. Participants will make molded chocolate hearts of white, milk, or dark chocolate. Register at the Center by Wednesday, February 8th. Fee: $2.50 includes all materials
