TOWN OF CASTLETON
  • The town is approximately 42 square miles and is comprised of the towns of West Castleton, Bomoseen, Hydeville, and the Village of Castleton.  Lake Bomoseen, a 6-mile lake, is a popular retreat for swimmers, fisherman, boaters, and hikers all year long.

CASTLETON STATE COLLEGE
  • Located in the foothills of West-Central Vermont, Castleton has lent itself to a little piece of history.  Castleton State College was founded in 1787 and is the oldest college in Vermont.  In fact, it's one of the oldest in New England.  The college offers outstanding sporting events, concerts, and cultural events open to the general public.

HUBBARDTON BATTLEFIELD
  • A historic battle during the Revolutionary War took place at nearby Hubbardton Battlefield, a few miles north of Castleton.  At the battlefield is a visitor's center with information about this epic battle.  This site offers breathtaking views of the Green Mountains.
