Castleton is a picturesque New
England town located in
Rutland County
about 15 miles to the west of Rutland, and about 5
miles east of the New York/Vermont state border.
We are a town of over 4,000 friendly and caring people.
Castleton is a place where a stranger can feel like
family and whose hospitality is second-to-none.
Castleton hosts one of Vermont's
state colleges,
Castleton State College.
CSC was
founded in 1787, and today belongs to the Vermont State
College system. CSC offers one of the widest
curriculums offered anywhere in New England. This
is just one of the reasons why Castleton is a part of
history.
Castleton also has many businesses and establishments
catering to those people who enjoy a slower pace and
finer things in life. We're proud to call
Castleton home. Welcome home!
