2008/2009 Grand List (UPDATED)

Office of the Board of Listers
Castleton, Vermont

2008/2009 Grand List

The State of Vermont requires property to be at 100% of fair market value as of April 1, 2008.  The Board of Listers has completed the 2008/2009 Grand List.  Enclosed you will find the value of your property.  The Board of Listers has given their approval to the project.

Please click on the links below to view property values for comparison.

Note: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the PDF documents.  If you do not have this program, please click here to download it.

You may also purchase your own copy for $5 at the town offices.

If you feel your property's value is not a fair indication of market value, you may grieve your assessment.  The value can be adjusted for only 3 reasons:

  1. The value does not represent market value as of April 1, 2008.
  2. The value is unfair when compared to other values.
  3. The data concerning my home is incorrect.

The value cannot be lowered because it went up too much or you have concerns about your tax bill.  The selectmen will set the tax rate when the grievance period is over.

If you have questions, or would like to schedule an appointment for a grievance hearing, call our office before June 18, 2008 at 802-468-2751 ext, 217 or 224.

We would like to thank everyone for their support and understanding.

Board of Listers,

Jan Wilson
Nancy Trudo
Kim Miller
